Whoops! Bible Proved Correct Again

Story from Pittsburgh Post-Gazette by Enemy Press LA Times: "Workers repairing a sewage pipe in the old city of Jerusalem have discovered the biblical Pool of Siloam, a freshwater reservoir that was a major gathering place for ancient Jews making religious pilgrimages to the city and the reputed site where Jesus cured a man blind from birth, according to the Gospel of John."
Apparently many religious and other scholars believe that the pool never existed and thought John used the episode as an illustrative point to advance the Gospel and the event didn't really happen. If you don't believe it as a religious text, at least be open to the idea that it isn't worthless as a guide to historical Judea.
