Nevada Increases Gun Freedoms - Sort Of

The NRA-ILA reports two new gun bills reached the desk of Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons. He's expected to sign both.

Two bills are of interest to gun owners and supporters of the right to self defense. The first, Senate Bill 237, allows Nevada to negotiate concealed carry reciprocity agreements with other states that have similar or more substantial licensing procedures. This bill is a no-brainer. Every state with concealed carry should have these agreements anyway. Perhaps a national concealed carry would solve the problem, and it would force the gun hating states to recognize concealed carry.

The second bill, Senate Bill 92, doesn't engender quite the happy huzzah. This bill would have eliminated the unconstitutional handgun registration grandfathered in for Clark County (Las Vegas). Somehow this bill wound up just extending the registration period from 48 hours to 60 sixty days. This will help those who are visiting Las Vegas for shooting sports as they won't have to register their handguns for a short visit to the city. Unfortunately for residents, the unconstitutional registration still exists.

Some movement forward is better than none it's supposed. Now those who want their constitutional rights protected need to try for complete elimination next session.

More Enemy Press Gun Bias

Enemy Press Network CNN Sunday Morning was covering breaking news today about the shooting incident in Idaho.

The broadcast was led by the hot hot hot Veronica De La Cruz and some unknown male anchor. Unfortunately at the particular time of the broadcast, no sound was available for Ah, Shoot!, just captions. Needless to say the Enemy Press can always spin stories to advance their anti-American agenda. Today was no different. As the story was introduced the producers thought an anti-gun slant wouldn't be noticed. The anchors made it a point to open the story with (paraphrased) "A shooting incident took place in Moscow Idaho, home to the University of Idaho, although the incident was on the other side of town in a church...." Get it: University of Idaho = Virginia Tech University. University area shootings are much more important than any other one. Now will all shooting incidents mention the name of a university in the area? No connection necessary, just remember to add the hook. The Enemy Press thinks the more you are reminded about the massacre the more you'll want gun control. Although the facts don't seem to bear this out.

Not only was this anti-gun slant in the broadcast, the last paragraph of the story on the CNN website says "Moscow, a community of about 20,000 people that is home to the University of Idaho, is located 80 miles south of Spokane, Washington." Gotta get it in. The University has no relevance to the story, it's a plain indicator of the bias inherent in the corporations that have no desire to see America and Americans maintain their liberty. Ol' Billionaire Ted has an agenda and he and his ilk with push it on you whenever they can, whether the connection is real or not.

The only thing I picked up at the local gun show was a borelight. I've gone long enough without one.

Didn't have any instructions though. I thought they might be on the pointer itself, but how am I supposed to read that??

It works however, and that's what's important. This is the barrel of the M1. It looks that that all the way to the breech.

Overheard At A Gun Show

Man: "How'd you do?

Second Man: "Not so well, didn't sell much."

Me: (sotto voce) Try cutting your prices.

I did have a chance to handle a CZ 52. The seller wanted $179 with no accessories. Heh, I have at least two places I can get one for $140 with a holster and extra mags. You'd think the usual gunshow suspects would know the online dealers sell them too. Guess they figure you'd rather pay more and take it than order and wait. Unfortunately the grips were badly scarred, so I didn't pull the trigger on it. Besides, that gun is larger than it seems and rather heavy. The ammo cost isn't all that reasonable either. I just might scratch that one off my list.

Plenty of ARs and AKs, just not what I'm looking for. Guess I'll have to keep looking for another evil assault rifle. I did find two unbastardized Krags! Too bad for me they wanted around a grand for them. Same old stuff, I only seem to go for the ammo anyway. I did notice that there wasn't any Swiss surplus for the K31, but there were at least two different new manufacturers for it. A little pricey and I haven't shot the thing lately anyway so I didn't get any.

The show dealers seem to think that Winchesters are still at a premium. I didn't see any that were less than $500. I hope they don't mind lugging them from show to show as they sit unsold.

All in all, the same stuff. I think I'll pass on the next two or three unless I need Swiss or Mak ammo. I wonder if the dealers get as tired selling - or not selling - their stuff as we do seeing them show after show?

International Commie Day - Buy A Gun!!!

Considering the march of mass murdering ideology day has passed its prime - except in the minds of some freaks and thugs - today is a good day to mock the greatest killers of all time by purchasing a former commie state gun and use it to protect yourselves from the wannabe thugs and killers in the country today!

Classic Arms has various AK platforms available as well as a new C&R handgun from Czechoslovakia: the CZ82.

What a great way to celebrate the nearly completed destruction of this mass murdering, hateful ideology! Castro's on his way out and the buffoon Chavez will soon make his way to the trash heap as well once he ravages his country.

Let's take this day to remember the over 100 million people murdered by leftism and mock their killers forever by using their tools against them.
